Mini Mission Reunion

In October, we had the pleasure of seeing one of my mission companions (actually my trainer) from my first area of Charleroi, Belgium. She and her husband flew over from Salzburg to visit family in Springville. I was with Martina, formerly Soeur Kuhn, when 9/11 happened, so I have some very unforgettable memories of that time. Paul also happened to be in our district at the time, so it was a nice mini reunion for all of us, including Carrie and her husband, who were nice enough to host dinner.

Poppy will Carrie's little boy, Calan, and Martina's little girl, who doesn't speak English, but still seemed to love playing with 2 crazy American kids.

It's pretty crazy that it's been 10 years since we served together. I have to say, Carrie and Martina look awesome and don't look any different to how they did on the mission!

Lazy Sunday

Just some fun Sunday pictures. We thought we'd enjoy some relaxing park time before the weather turns for good...

Ready for the runway?

Georgie liked the slide! She did land funny one of the times, so that was the end of that, and we didn't let her go again.

Pumpkin Carving

This year marked many "firsts" for Ms. Poppy, maybe because now she's old enough to appreciate and participate in a lot more things. It's lots of fun. Here, she takes part in her first pumpkin carving experience. No, I didn't let her near the carving knife. :)

VanDenBerghe Halloween Party

Poppy loves Halloween almost as much as she loves her cousins. Here, she enjoys both at a little party we had for the kids.

Our little garden gnome. With the addition of fairy wings. Her idea, of course.

We're Amazing Race contestants. The idea was that Poppy was our little Travelocity roaming gnome. Get it?

Running with Cousin Gaby

Eating dinner in the company of a lion, a skeleton, Woody, and The Wicked Witch of the West.

Poppy was really excited about the donut-eating game. Or maybe she was just excited about the donut.

Pinata time!

A visit from Nannie Sue

Paul's mum came for a visit in late September-early October, and Poppy was thrilled. She loves her Nannie (or as she calls her, "Annie").

Just before heading to the airport...

This picture is pretty cute, despite Poppy's unfortunate pose.

Gardner Village

Farmer's Market at Wheeler Farm

At Wheeler Farm again - a few days later, and the weather had gone from hot to snowy! That's why we're sporting coats here. Poppy went into the pumpkin patch, then a hay ride, and a corn maze.
