In the run up to Mr Finley’s arrival we had to get some things arranged and sorted. The first, and potentially most stressful, was moving Poppy from her old room into her new room, and changing her crib into a toddler bed. After much worry and concern, we bit the bullet and made the change and she was soooo excited. She loves her new room and bed, and we haven’t had any problems at all (although the morning we were heading out to the hospital we heard a loud thud and she had fallen out of bed – she was okay, just a little bemused).
One of things she likes most about her new bed is that Georgie can jump on on her bed and sit with her (Georgie is undecided as to whether she likes this or not).
Poppy got a sled for Christmas and has been so excited to use it, so the other day (i.e. the only day it has snowed this year) we headed over to a hill and went sledding or sledging if you are English. Poppy had a blast and is excitedly waiting for the next day of snow. On this particular day she woke up, looked out of the window and said ‘It snowed, where’s my sled?’.
One of the many ways I know that Poppy is my daughter is her love of junk food. Here she is enjoying (which I think may be an understatement) a corn dog – these were just too cute not to post.
Lastly in preparation for the big arrival my Mum came into town to look after Poppy while we were at the hospital. Poppy LOVES her Nannie Sue and has been having lots of fun with her. Nannie Sue has been spoiling Poppy, but I think that she enjoys that as much as Poppy does.
The other day we took a trip to the Church History Museum and little Miss Popps had a fun time, she tried some dancing, played with animals, steered a ship and planted some veggies.

Poppy is adorable! I'm glad she likes the new room!
She is seriously one of the cutest little kids ever! When she smiles her whole face lights up and I love it.
