Walking, Ponytails, and Growing Up Way Too Fast!!

Chilling with the shades on. Surprisingly, she actually left them on for a solid 20 minutes.

Being mischievous, getting into the groceries. And no, we haven't given her a taste yet!

Starting to smile just like Daddy - all squinty, with one eye closed slightly more than the other.

Being cheeky at IHOP with Nannie Sue, David, Daddy & Mummy.

She still knows how to play it up for the camera!

Her favorite part of eating out? Fishing the ice out of the glass of water to suck on.

After running the Community Action 5K, with Daddy's work colleagues. Paul and Poppy walked the course; Anna ran the course in about 28 minutes (even with a side pain for the first 2/3, I might add. Take that, 5K!!)

Bedhead & slightly grumpy after nap time. Miss Poppy usually only takes 1 nap a day now, and it sometimes lasts between 2-3 hours, much to our delight!

Mummy's very excited that Sweetie P's hair is now long enough for ponytails and pigtails. No longer a baby. :(

Pushing her baby doll in the stroller Nannie Sue and David bought during their visit in April.

Poppy is almost an expert walker now! For awhile, she has been pretty good at balancing, and has been able to take steps, but only with coaxing from us. She simply didn't care. But as of the last few days, she actually walks of her own accord. Yay!

Enjoying the nice weather, which seems to finally be ready to stay!

Poppy with the poppies!

She does the sad face pretty well. She has definitely figured out how to use it to her advantage!

Tasting Mummy's birthday cake. Mmmm!

Wearing pigtails at great-grandma's 80th birthday party.

Ready for a bike ride!

We've taken a little bit of a hiatus from the blogging, which was completely unintentional, but happens occasionally! It's amazing how, even in a month's time, Poppy is so different. She really is growing up - she talks more, has more teeth, has enough hair for an occasional pigtail, and finally decided to let go and start walking.
We've had a few more visitors recently, including some friends Paul taught on the mission from Luxembourg, and Paul's mum and her partner, David. Sue and David were here for my 30th birthday, and were nice enough to watch Poppy while Paul and I went to Midway for a couple of days. It was really fun. Their flight was delayed by a few days due to the Icelandic ash cloud, but they made it here safe and sound in the end. Poppy was spoiled and got lots of fun clothes and toys brought over from England, and really enjoyed having Nannie here!
In other recent news, Darren and Alison finally closed on their house at Daybreak, and we spent most of Memorial Day helping them move. We'll try to post a few pictures; the house turned out great! Cousin Cullen had his second birthday; we missed out on his great party because Poppy had a persistent little fever that lingered for about 3 days. We're also going to post a few pictures of our newest niece, Gaby, who is gorgeous as ever!

haha, it's a good thing you haven't given her a taste of Diet Coke because you know she'll be an addict just like you two! She is absolutely the most adorable little toddler I have ever seen and so happy! Love her!

You are better parents than I....I let Luke have a sip of Sprite last night, and right now I am throwing him a ball and he is retrieving it like a Labrador. Oh well, the more kids you get the less you worry about that kind of stuff. Anyway, cute pictures! I'm sad I couldn't run the race with you. And I can't believe how many teeth she has. I mean, it seems like her incisors came in over night! I love it when you can start to do their hair, too.
