Our cute little family

I think the title says it all....

The Lights at Temple Square

Last Friday we went down to Temple Square and looked at the lights, they really are amazing. The whole feeling of Temple Square was just lovely, it looked so great and Christmasy it was really nice to see. We also stayed and listened to/watched the Nativity presentation that they do, it was only short, but is a sweet reminder of what Christmas is all about.

Dad and Sue's Trip to SLC

So my Dad and his Wife (Sue) were here last week from England. It was really nice to have them stay with us and enjoy Thanksgiving with them. We had a fun week and got up to lots of exciting things, and ate lots of great food. I've posted some pics of what we got up to, from top:
  1. hanging out at Wheeler Farm with the Georgster (who managed to eat some goat poop just prior to this picture)
  2. at the Olympic Ski Park watching the luge practice
  3. Anna and I 'bob sledding'
  4. at the top of Ensign Peak (it was rather chilly and windy)
  5. lastly the 'Jam Session" that Anna's Dad (in the orange shirt) arranged

Thanksgiving Fun!

Thanksgiving was so much fun this year. Anna's parents hosted Thanksgiving and prepared a delicious feast. Anna's Mom is such a great cook and we all ate far too much. It was also really nice as all of Anna's siblings came up to visit, so we got to catch up with everyone as well as seeing the adorable Edison and Maia. After our delicious dinner we made Holiday crafts - i think i did particularly well and watched a very exciting movie (the new Die Hard - which was most exciting). All in all Thanksgiving was a blast and now we are back at work - BUT only two weeks to go until we see the Spice Girls in Vegas!

Our Nephew, Edison

Here's our little nephew Edison, Alison and Darren's new arrival. He was born on the 8th November (I think). We think he's pretty cute.

Day 2

So day 2 of the blog and i thought i would just post an update that Georgie seems to be feeling a lot better - which is great news. We got home from work and she was back to her happy little self. So I've come to the conclusion that Anna and I are old, we got home from work, worked on our puzzle a little (we have recently discovered the joys of puzzles), watched Heroes (we are a little behind with this season) and were in bed by 10pm. Which may not sound very interesting but let me tell you it was quite lovely, our house was nice and cozy, Georgie was being all loving and in short life was great. I am so happy with how life is, admittedly we do have our trials (seriously what's so hard about having a baby), but we are so blessed and life is so great right now. I think i have come to further appreciate being at home with George and Anna as my job makes me travel a lot and there is nothing worse, really, than being on your own is some strange part of the state watching cable TV (i used to think cable TV was so great but every time i have it while i am out of town i just spend the whole time flicking through channels and trying to decide if i should watch or keep flicking - in case something better comes along!). Well this post has been random, pretty much my point has been that life is wonderful and i am so lucky to have my girls.

Blogging is fun!

It really is, i should actually do some work as that is where i am right now, but i am enjoying this so much... anyway i wanted to tell you about our little doggy - Georgie. She really is the cutest, most loving little pup. Anna and I don't have kids yet - we are waiting for that blessing - and Georgie certainly makes the waiting a little easier. So this morning we woke up and George was not her usual jolly self, she was not running around like a fool and barely ate anything (a healthy appetite is one of her key characteristics - like all good Leggetts). So we just thought she was tired, but no she was a sick little girl. Bless her she had thrown up in our bedroom, then she threw up outside, then in the lounge, then bathroom 1 and finally bathroom 2. Poor thing, she is at home sleeping and Grandma is going to check on her later. We love our dog!

P.S. You're Cute

So i wanted to explain why the blog is called "P.S. You're Cute" so pretty much when Anna and i were dating, i was still in England and she was here, living it up in SLC. So because of the distance we relied a lot on phone calls and emails and as such had our little traditions. The first was starting each email with a line from some cheesy song or other (we had to get creative - this lasted about 7 months) and second, was that Anna would end virtually all of her emails with p.s. you're cute! so that has become our little phrase. We actually have a painted sign in our bedroom with it on. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh (that's meant to be a romantic ahhhhhhhhhhhh not a scary AHHHHHHHHHH)

.... Did Not Go As Planned!

So I guess I've not yet figured out the whole blogging deal as i just tried to post my first 'comment' and seem to have hit the wrong button, hence the blank post below. Anywho!!!!! Let's try again, so as previously mentioned, this is my first ever blog and I'm not really sure what I'm doing so bear with me as i make the, inevitable, errors. So why did i start a blog, well I'm not sure really, i just thought it would be fun and i was just looking on the Internet and found a whole bunch of people i know have blogs. So i decided to ever be the sheep and follow along. So welcome to my blog, and I'm sure Anna will have some things to add to, not sure about Georgie though (the big teddy bear paws make it hard for her to type efficiently) but hopefully this blog will be interesting and a fun way for us to let all of our friends and family (and possibly a bunch of strangers - all of whom I hope are quite normal!) know what is going on with us.

The First Time....
